Background

Clyde first appeared in Kyria Thanatos' chat on January 29th, 2022. During this stream, the user claimed to have been awake for 50 hours, but otherwise engaged with chat normally.

Unusual behavior and ban

Clyde was permanently banned from Kyria's chat on February 1st, 2022, for posting nearly forty unsolicited and sexually charged messages during Kyria's first Bayonetta stream from the previous day. In these messages, Clyde now claimed to have been awake for over 100 hours, then repeatedly asked Kyria to either step on or curbstomp them, called her variations of "best waifu" 15 times, offered to be her chair, and asked her to beat them to the point of scarification.

After being banned, Clyde sent the following unban request:

Shoot I’m really sorry that I came off like I meant that stuff, I really honestly am just playing. If I came off real weird or bad im sorry, apologies to Kyria and mods. If I stay unbanned that aight, just let Kyria know I said sorry. I think that’s all I really have to say, once again I am sorry for coming off with that, love ya guys

This request became a community in-joke, due in part to its stark contrast to Clyde's previous messages, but additionally because Kyria read the request on stream in an exaggerated southern accent, cementing the user's legacy as a bizarre, horny cowboy.
