Yakuza Kiwami is an action-adventure title developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. It initially released in 2016 in Japan on both the Sony PlayStation 3 and 4, before the Sony PlayStation 4 version was localised in 2017. It was ported to PC in 2019.
A remake of the original Yakuza game, Kiwami is set 17 years after the events of Yakuza 0.
Synopsis
After serving 10 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit, Kiryu Kazuma emerges as a free man to discover his closest friend, and the man who committed the murder that Kiryu took the blame for, Nishikiyama has risen up the ranks in the Yakuza. With Kamurocho on the verge of all-out warfare between rival Yakuza gangs and the authorities, Kiryu seeks to protect the mysterious young girl Haruka, while building towards a confrontation with his closest friend.
